GIVING -SANFILIPPO SYNDROME
From 2019-2022 I had the great joy of being a nanny for a family of three children. Their youngest, Autumn, was diagnosed with SanFilippo Syndrome when she was 18 months old. At the time, I had never worked with anyone that had special needs before but I was instantly in love.
San Filippo Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder where the body is unable to break down certain carbohydrates, resulting in toxic buildup in the brain and body. Also referred to as childhood dementia, this condition slowly takes away a child’s ability to do everything. Unfortunately, there is currently no cure for this condition. Donating to this cause not only helps raise awareness, it also helps clinical trials for enzyme replacement therapy, cutting edge gene therapy and more to hopefully one day find a cure.
All proceeds from my daily sketches will directly be donated to this cause.
10% of every other transaction will also be donated.
